Is a peel safe for everyone?

No. Although peels are safe for most people, it is not recommended for women who are pregnant or nursing. You also cannot get a peel unless you have been off Accutane for at least six months. If you have cancer, an autoimmune disease, or open sores, you are not a candidate for a peel. If you have a tendency toward cold sores, it is suggested that you take an anti-viral medication several days prior to the procedure. Your skin will be more sensitive after a peel, so make sure that you have plenty of sunscreen and that you stay out of the sun while healing.

Series of Six Peels
Includes a weekly treatment of one of the following peels to address your specific skin issues; includes microdermabrasion and after care regimen of SkinsciptRx for optimum results.

  • Passion Fruit Enzyme; Passion Fruit contains kollaren, a peptide that will restore collagen and elastin, which firms and tones aging or sagging skin.
  • Lactic Acid; Ideal for dry, sensitive skin, or rosacea, this peel is both hydrating and exfoliating, drawing moisture from the dermal layer to the surface of your skin.
  • Glycolic Acid; Best for skin with keratinization and environmental damage, and clogged pores prone to blackheads. This acid removes the dead skin cells on the skin's surface for more vibrant skin.
  • Cranberry Turnover; This peel is recommended for acne conditions, inflamed and oily skin. Deep cleaning and exfoliating helps to reduce oil and protect from bacterial infection.
  • TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid); Best suited for those with hyper-pigmentation, melasma, and sun damage. Offers the most aggressive treatment to lighten the skin without damaging the melanin.

A consultation will determine the best treatment for your skin, and if a peel is right for you. All facials include cleansing, steam, exfoliation, mask and massage.

Why should I get a peel?

Because the skin accumulates dead skin cells in a 28-day cycle, a professional peel is recommended when a more intense approach is needed to restore your skin's vitality. A series of chemical peels use products with a lower pH level that penetrate more deeply into the skin. A consultation with your aesthetician will help determine if a peel is the right choice for you. Your skin may benefit from a peel in the following ways...

  • Improve the texture of your skin, including minor scarring
  • Increase the cell turnover rate
  • Improve your skin's ability to hold moisture
  • Help your skin produce more collagen
  • Reduce hyper-pigmentation and fine lines
  • Give you a healthy glow
  • Can improve acne or other chronic skin conditions

Why should I get a facial?

The most obvious reason to get a  facial is to ensure that you have healthier, clearer, and more beautiful skin. A professional monthly facial can make a dramatic difference, and here are some good reasons why...

  • Every skin care regimen starts with an expert analysis to determine your individual needs, and an esthetician can recommend a custom treatment plan as well as an appropriate home care routine, no matter what issues you may be experiencing with your skin..
  • Most facials include some form of exfoliation, using mild enzymes or acids. Your home products contain these ingredients too, but an esthetician will provide them at a professional strength for your skin type, that will smooth your skin, even out your skin tone, increase cell turnover, and soften lines.
  • Your aesthetician is an expert at unclogging pores and blackheads without damaging the skin.
  • Whether your skin is oily or dry, all skin needs intense hydration.
  • A facial massage increases blood circulation, which keeps the skin youthful and radiant.
  • As your aesthetician gets to know your skin, even subtle abnormalities will be more apparent to skilled eyes. Protection from skin cancer and a recommendation to a dermatologist may prevent future issues or catch them in very early stages.
  • You deserve a relaxing experience to pamper yourself and reduce stress!
